Life changes and in the middle of a pandemic. I am picking up my life and moving to Austin, Texas. It may not seem like such a big move to some but for me, it is.
It's a new city, a new home, I'm starting a new job, making new friends... & I'm graduating with my Masters in Child Psychology in less than a month. HOW DANG CRAZY! I am disgusted and excited at how fast time has gone during this pandemic all at the same time. I will be working with Autistic children in North Austin and am very excited to begin my career. I will be a few hours closer to family so it will be nice, but other than that it will be a complete new beginning for me.
My new journey began this past weekend, I started training for my new job. Saturday after work, in Houston I headed straight to my new home with my Jeep packed tight and Punzy loaded in the passenger seat.
Punz was so happy to be going somewhere she could've cared less the Jeep was loaded to the brim.
For the past month I've had an idea of what it would be like at my new home, how it would feel, and what exactly the floor plan would be like. I was extra nervous because I was unable to tour my exact home due to the previous tenet still living there. But as I drove up, & opened the garage... I was blown away and immediately had tears well up. It was just, if not better than what I had imagined. Punzy didn't even take a lot of time to peer around she was just instantly running around and very trusting, which made me feel even better. It all felt so meant to be. I am excited to see where the next year will take us.
Because I only had orientation for my new job for training I headed back to Houston for the rest of the week so I didn't really need to pack to much. I only brought the necessities along with a few extra things. When I first arrived I noticed that a few Amazon orders I made had been delivered and pulled inside by maintenance which was so sweet.. I immediately rolled out my new rug I ordered and OMG it looks so pretty especially on my wood floors I can't wait to see when the rooms finally all done up. I got such an amazing deal on it too, and it shipped in just a few days!

The other package was to my surprise brought inside waasssss another first big girl purchase for me, a Lull Mattress. Isn't it hilarious that as we age we get excited to spend our money on the weirdest things. Well... I am so dang excited about my Lull Mattress! It really was just as convenient as the commercials and ads say. It was delivered straight to my door, I unboxed it, drug the wrapped mattress to my bedroom, opened it and watched it grow! I was amazed and giddy. After literally only 3 nights sleeping on it, I can already say I recommend it !
After work on Monday I spent my day shopping around at the 'At Home' store and putting up almost all my wall decor and building my new TV stand that I ordered from IKEA. I alsoooo DRUM ROOLLL started the process of making an AT HOME GYM!! I am so pumped about this and can wait to use it every day!
